Felted Slippers

These are a pair of slippers that I knit & felted from Cat Bordhi's Socks Soar on Two Circular Needles book to teach myself that method. I've made many socks, a pair of slippers, and oven mitts using double-pointed needles and I wanted to see what all the fuss was about using 2 circular needles instead.

Well, it turned out to be easy as pie and now I'm working on a pair of socks for my 11yo, Zander, also on two circular needles! I'm very Pleased.

I used Classic Elite Paintbox (a wonderful, but unfortunately discontinued bulky yarn; I found some still at Webs (yarn.com) but after theirs is gone, it's all gone ) and two size 13 24" Harmony Wood circulars (from Knitpicks.com (they are wonderful needles, I highly recommend them; smooth, multi-coloured needles & super flexible cables!)


Edit November 28, 2008: Decided that the slippers needed another go around in the washer & took a better picture this time too! They fit perfectly now & feel like wearing extra snuggly socks around the house!
