This was my very first moebius scarf as seen in Cat Bordhi's The Second Treasury of Magical Knitting. It was made with my Harmony Wood needles (size 10, 60"!) and some mystery acrylic yarn i picked up years ago as millends when Woolworth's was closing.

This method truly is magical & a great deal of fun to do! And yes, the scarf is a truly contiguous moebius strip!

Yeah, i do too! And funny thing about this yarn was that when it was all wound up on the ball it din't look nearly as nice when it was knitted up!

Wow, I didn't even know you could knit a Moebius strip! I suppose that since there's only one edge you could just go round and round adding to it, but it seems like it could get confusing since you're simultaneously adding to both sides...

...says the guy who knows nothing about knitting...
gorgeous color, cool idea

Isn't that amazing? i'm quite impressed with the technique.. you actually start from the middle & work your way outwards... Magically! :D

My current moebius project is a jester tentacle bag which will be felted; i can hardly wait till it's done!

Wow, this looks great! I've never managed to figure out how you get started when you do a Möbius band this way--you cast onto a circular needle and then somehow knit into the stitches from the opposite side or something? The only Möbius scarf I've done I just knitted the whole thing as a rectangle and then sewed the ends together, which isn't nearly as good.

Life is complex. It has both real and imaginary components.
